UAW-FCA-Ford-General Motors Legal Services Plan
Mobile Messaging Terms & Conditions
In an effort to make communication between the UAW-FCA-Ford-General Motors Legal Services Plan (the Plan) and its eligible members and clients more convenient for the clients, the Plan is offering to communicate with those eligible members and clients of the Plan with a mobile messaging program (the “Program”) also referred to as mobile text messages, subject to these Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not wish to receive mobile text communication from the Plan about your case or no longer agree to these Terms, you can reply “STOP” to any mobile message from the Plan in order to opt out of the Program.
Client Opt In: The Program allows clients/members of the Plan to receive SMS/MMS mobile (text mobile) messages from the Plan about their legal case, if the client affirmatively opts into the Program. Regardless of the opt-in method utilized to join the Program, you agree that these Terms apply to your participation in the Program. The mobile messaging service used by the Plan to communicate with you requires human intervention for the Plan’s mobile messages to be initiated, and thus the Plan’s mobile messages are not sent to you by an automatic telephone dialing system (“ATDS” or “autodialer”).The Plan will only communicate with you as a client of the Plan about an open legal case you have with the Plan or respond to a question you have about your benefits under the Plan. The mobile text communications will come from a Plan employee such as your assigned attorney or another Plan employee assisting your attorney. In no case will you receive marketing or mass text messages from the Plan nor will you ever be asked for money from the Plan.
Contact Information: For support text “HELP” to 85100, or to any of the Plan’s mobile messages, or email clientcomments@uawlsp.com
User Opt Out and Additional Commands: To opt out (discontinue participation in Program), reply “STOP” to 85100, or to any of the Plan’s mobile messages from your mobile device. This is the easiest and preferred method to opt out of the Program. You may receive an additional mobile message confirming your decision to opt out. You may also opt out by texting “QUIT”, “END”, “CANCEL”, “UNSUBSCRIBE”, or “STOP ALL” to 85100 or to any of the Plan’s mobile messages you receive, or by contacting the Plan via the means provided above and clearly communicating your intent to unsubscribe from the Program. For additional support, text “HELP” to 85100 to get help.
MMS Disclosure: The Program will send SMS MTs if your mobile device does not support MMS messaging. Disclaimer: The Plan will not be liable for any delays or failures in the receipt of any mobile messages connected with this Program. Delivery of mobile messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator, and is outside of the Plan’s control. Your wireless service provider/network operator is not liable for delayed or undelivered mobile messages. Your participation in the Program is at your sole discretion and risk, and if you are dissatisfied with the Program, message content, or these Terms, you should opt-out and cease use of the Program.
Privacy Policy: The Plan respects your privacy. As your Attorney, the Plan already has an ethical obligation to maintain the confidentiality of your case-related information. If you agree, the Plan will include communication by text message about case related information to the number you provide to the Plan to transmit your mobile text messages. THE PLAN WILL NOT PROVIDE, SELL, OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER ANY PHONE NUMBERS OR CUSTOMER INFORMATION TO ANY THIRD PARTY. Nonetheless, the Plan reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to respond to any complaint or dispute you have with the Plan.
Dispute Resolution: As an eligible member of the Plan, you may file an internal ERISA dispute or Appeal in the event that you have a dispute, claim or controversy with the Plan on any issue including this policy or any matter related to it, by sending an email to clientcomments@uawlsp.com or an Appeal Letter to:
